Enter and View - Torkington House Care Home

Report - 22 February 2019

Our team at Healthwatch Ealing conducted an unannounced Enter and View at Torkington House Care Home on the 22nd of February 2019 from 3pm.

Healthwatch Enter and Views are arranged to find out how health and social care services are being run, and make recommendations where there are areas for improvement.

Key Information

Authorised Representatives did not detect any urine odours and found the home to be a well maintained pleasant environment, where residents were treated with dignity and respect.
The care supervisor stated that the home has introduced protected drinks times in response to our last report and Authorised Representatives witnessed this during the visit.
During the visit, staff were seen treating residents with dignity and respect, and all residents appeared well tended to.

Key Recommendations

Healthwatch Ealing recommended that the home amend their
menus to include indicators of dietary suitability.

Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic GP Patient Experience Report
