NHS NWL Community Insights Report Published

NHS North West London has published their quarterly community insights report.

"Our published Quarter 2 insights report gives an overview of the healthcare services successes and challenges experienced by residents in north west London between July and September 2024.

This report is built on extensive community feedback and interaction, identifying key areas that impact patient experiences and healthcare access.

The most frequent issue raised unprompted by our residents and communities continues to be access to primary care. Barriers to communication, digital exclusion, mental health and cultural sensitivity are also highlighted.

NWL NHS Launches Frailty Survey

NHS North West London has launched a review of the community services that are in place to support the frail population.
Frailty prevalence is a growing concern, particularly among our older population. According to local health data, approximately 10-15% of the population aged 65 and above in north west London are living with moderate to severe frailty. This equates to roughly 160,000 individuals who require comprehensive and proactive care.

Update on review of acute mental health services in Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea

NHS North West London, supported by Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, ran a consultation from October 2023 to February 2024, on the future of acute mental health services in Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea following the temporary closure of the inpatient wards at the Gordon Hospital. There was significant engagement in the consultation with over 700 individual responses.
