Annual Report 2022-23
Our annual report of 2022-23 summarises our patient experience findings, enter and view findings and our plans for the upcoming year 2023-24.
Highlights from 2022-23
- 6,148 people shared their experiences of health and social care services with
us, helping to raise awareness of issues and improve care. - 339 people came to us for clear advice and information about topics such as
mental health and the cost of living crisis - We published 9 reports
about the improvements people would like to see to health and social care services. - We presented 3 Enter & View Reports
which recommended improvements to care facilities and mental health hostels. - We’re lucky to have 41 outstanding volunteers, who gave up 87 days to make care better for our community.
- We’re funded by our local authority. In 2022-23 we received: £120,000.
- We also currently employ 3 staff who help us carry out this work.
Patient Experience Findings
- We talked to 4,557 people
- We conducted 178 GP visits
- We published 4 health experience reports
Enter and View Findings
- We conducted 8 Enter and Views activities during the 22-23 financial year.
- We focused our attention towards care homes and nursing homes Reports produced,identified areas of improvements and provided recommendations for how to achieve those goals.
- There were no issues or recommendations escalated by our Healthwatch to Healthwatch England Committee; so no resulting special reviews or investigations.
Our priorities for next year
- Help to identify and tackle health inequalities.
- Improve care home standards across the borough.
- Raise awareness of and improve access to informative sexual health support .
