ECT's Plus Bus for health Service for patients of GPs

PlusBus for Health is a minibus service for patients to and from GP surgeries. The transport is provided by Ealing Community Transport (ECT), a local charity.
ECT eligibility criteria

PlusBus for Health offers socially distanced transport with trained, friendly and regular drivers using accessible minibuses. It is a door-to-door service, which means the drivers help passengers travel safely all the way from their front door to their surgery appointment. The minibuses are sanitised between patients and drivers have been trained in Covid-19 hygiene measures.

PlusBus for Health is tailored for people who find it difficult or are unable to use public transport or have mobility difficulties when travelling to GP surgery appointments. The transport is not

PlusBus for Health can be used for any appointment at a surgery in the borough of Ealing between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (subject to availability). The transport is not suitable for patients who have Covid symptoms, are self-isolating or required to quarantine.

Get in touch with your surgery, and they will book the transport to your next appointment for you. Alternatively, you can call ECT at 020 8813 3214 for any advice on the service. Surgeries can email us on plusbushealth@nhs.net with their transport needs.

The service is free of charge for eligible patients.

Ealing Community Transport (ECT) is starting a series of free outings for local individuals who are unable to access transport or have mobility difficulties.

Do you know someone who has not been out for months and would appreciate a few hours out?

ECT is a local charity providing outings for small groups in socially distanced and Covid-secure minibuses to places like Gunnersbury Park & Museum, Chiswick House & Gardens, Kew Gardens and Black Park. Anywhere else you would like to go, please let us know – even if it’s just a ride around our community.
